Emily Irene VanCamp originally wanted to pursue a career as professional dancer. After watching her sister Katie in The Ladies Room movie set, Emily began to be interested in acting. Her acting career began when she began taking classes. She also got guest spots on shows from her home country of Canada. She was on as a guest on several shows in the series Are You Scared of Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp had a career breakthrough when he got a role on the WB horror-mystery series Glory Days as Sam Dolan. The show was canceled after 9 episodes, despite glowing reviews and low ratings. The actress was born on 12 May 1986, quickly landed another part in Everwood. The role she played was Amy Abbott. This role brought her nominations for the Young Artist Award and four Teen Choice Awards.
